JMF’s Jana Gana Mana Vidyamandir & Jr. College Library is on the Third floor of the college building. It plays a vital role in teaching-learning process. It is open toall the students having a valid college identity card. The library is open between 7.00 a.m.to 5.oo p.m. throughoutthe year. Library fulfillsthe need of faculty and students by providing services with text books, reference books and journals etc.

  • Home Issue:
    Students and Teachers can borrow books for home lending in between 9.30 am to 5.00 pm. on all working days of the week.
  • Reference Service :
    The library staff assists the readers in finding their relevant books. Readers are also provided with relevant documents, which are of their interest. Question Paper sets are provided for reference as well as photocopying. Project and Syllabus of all classes are available for reference.
  • Computerization of the Library:
    The computerization of the library is in the process. The Library is using E–Granthalaya:A digital Agenda for library Automation and Networking developed by National Informatics Center Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) provides access to the bibliographic database.
  • Internet Facility:
    The library provides Internet browsing facility to Students and Teachers of the college.
  • Book Bank:
    For one academic year at a time, sets of books are given to the deserving students from the Book Bank Scheme of the Library

  • Every student entering in the library should have a valid College Identity Card.
  • Eatables, Audio-Visual device, Mobile phones, and other equipments & their use is strictly prohibited. Student found using mobile phone in library premises, will have their phones confiscated by the library staff. Fine will be charged by the Discipline Committee.
  • Complete silence and discipline must be maintained in the Library.
  • Students are required to handle the books and reading materials very carefully. Marking Library books with pencil or ink, tearing the pages or spoiling the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously.
  • If mutilated or lost, the borrower will have to replace the book with a new copy or pay the amount of the current price along with processing charge of Rs. 50/-and the overdue charges if any.
  • In case of late return of books, students will have to pay a fine of Rs.1/-per day for the first week and Rs. 4/-per day in subsequent weeks (Same for CDs). While charging the fine, holidays will be counted.
  • If the Library cards are lost, the Librarian should be informed immediately. In genuine cases a duplicate set may be issued on payment of Rs.50/-for Home Issue Card and Rs. 25/-for Reading Room Card. And for that an application should be made to the Principal.
